Introducing The Mañanas

Denver-based power pop/garage rock sensation, The Mañanas, are about to unleash their highly-anticipated debut album, "3000," on May 23rd, 2023, and music lovers around the world are already buzzing with excitement. Produced by Danny Pauta and written by lead singer Brandon Unpingco, the album is a raw and intimate journey, drawing inspiration from personal experiences, and showcasing the band's unique blend of retro-futuristic rock and upbeat, lighthearted rhythms.

On the cover photo of the album, we also find Ecuadorian pop star Neoma, a main collaborator on the album writing the single “Sooner Than I Thought” and playing bass throughout the record. Additionally, Agustín Rodas, another Ecuadorian artist, contributed prominently to the album with his piano and guitar credits, frequently collaborating with the band virtually. Both Neoma and Agustín Rodas add a unique touch to the album, showcasing the band's ability to collaborate with other talented artists from around the world.

The Mañanas' sound has been compared to a mix of the Strokes, Weezer, and Arctic Monkeys. Packed with fun choruses, jangly guitars, and low-yet-also-hi-fi production, their music is sure to captivate anyone who loves an upbeat, carefree sound.

Five singles from the debut album were released since March 18th, 2022 starting with their opening track "Mirror Mirror," a song that's catchiness and strong hook are a staple sound from the band.  The four new songs on the album are fan-favorite live tracks that are highly anticipated within the band's concertgoers. The album’s single “That’s Love, Veneno” is inspired by cults and fanatics. The song was delayed as they chased the perfect live performance energy that defines them.  All songs were recorded in a DIY fashion throughout different Denver studios, as well as different reiterations of the Mañanas' own home studio throughout the last few years.

The Mañanas are set to make waves with their debut album, and the band's recent performances and singles have already garnered critical acclaim. They will be playing big slots in Colorado this summer such as Endless Sunshine Festival opening for Peach Pit, Backseat Lovers, and Briston Maroney on September 8th. They will also be playing the legendary Red Rock Amphitheater as part of the Film on the Rocks series on June 12th, and opening for Night Moves at the Bluebird Theater on May 31st, serving as an album release show.

The album is to be released with the band's first-ever vinyl record that will include their first EP entitled "Cheers" as bonus tracks. With the band's rising popularity, there will be an entire new wide array of merchandise available. Before, the band had only stocked three sold-out shirt designs, but their catalog has now expanded to include vinyls, CDs, trucker hats, high-quality shirts, and even their own chapstick!
